ITALIAN CONVERSATION

MWF 10:10-11:00

ITAL 310 is anĀ  Italian conversation course. Throughout the semester, we will build oral fluency while discussing topics of inquiry and debate in contemporary Italian culture. We will evaluate the contrasting positions raised by these topics based on available evidence. We will examine how different lexicons and linguistic registers allow us to articulate our own positions on these debates. We will also develop both oral and written skills appropriate for a variety of public speaking contexts and genres of writing. We will have regular conversations in pairs, in large and small groups and through discussion, role-play, and public-speaking activities.
