Italian Culture

This course provides an overview of modern Italian history, exploring institutions of politics, culture, family, religion, and media. It addresses themes of multiculturalism, racism, gender, and others. You will learn how historical events, symbols, ideologies and narratives overlay contemporary debates over the proper relationship between state and society. You will also learn to question assumptions about the relationships in their own countries as well.
