About Professor Taylor

Kristine Taylor has taught Portuguese language to individuals and groups since 1997. She joined the faculty at UNC in 2009, where she teaches elementary, intermediate, and advanced Portuguese. She places high value of building a welcoming and inclusive learning community in class. Her main areas of interest are foreign language teaching techniques, digital pedagogy, women in medieval history, and the connections between history, culture and the labor market. Kristine Taylor currently serves as Language Course Coordinator for PORT 101, 102 and 203, and as Assistant Director of Portuguese Language Instruction.

She has completed SafeZone, UndocuCarolina, and Mental Health First Aid training. She is a UNC designated Responsible Employee and Campus Security Authority.
