This course explores Lusophone culture through a multidisciplinary lens, analyzing literary works, films, and other cultural expressions. Language proficiency will be enhanced through writing, advanced grammar practice, class discussions and presentations on relevant topics. The course explores the historical and modern impact of Portuguese civilization across the Portuguese-speaking countries, from the Age of Discoveries to today. A key focus will be the distinct national and cultural identities of these countries and identifying points of intersection and convergence.
