Book Presentation: A Companion to Spanish Environmental Cultural Studies

Please, join us on March 31^st at 1:30 PM for a fantastic book presentation by professors Luis I. Prádanos (editor) and Jordi Marí (contributor). They will be introducing their latest book, A Companion to Spanish Environmental Cultural Studies. This is a crucial work in the rapidly emerging field of environmental cultural studies in Spain, with chapters on such topics as extractivism, animal studies, food studies, ecofeminism, decoloniality, critical race studies, tourism, and waste studies. The different authors delve into the power relations, material practices and social imaginaries underpinning the global economic system to uncover its unaffordable human and non-human costs.

Also with the participation of professor Sean Matharoo and student Santi Gesteira as discussants.
