Deadline for near-FREE Study Abroad Opportunity in Madrid!

September 16, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

This is an amazing opportunity to study abroad at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM)!

Read what one of last year’s recipient had to say about her experience:

“Being at la Universidad Complutense de Madrid gave me new perspectives of not only Spanish literature, but the perspectives and views of the Spaniards I shared classes with. The professors were excellent and passionate about what they were teaching. Additionally, I gained a new understanding of living in Spain and Spanish culture. My experience has and will help me understand the viewpoints of Spanish authors that I will have to read for my PhD program.”

How is this too-good-to-be-true opportunity possible? UNC-CH has just been designated as a partner in the UCM Erasmus + Program and has been invited to send two undergraduate students who are advanced in their Spanish studies to spend the spring 2018 semester as exchange students.

What makes this opportunity so amazing and unique?

The UNC students will only pay their UNC tuition and the Study Abroad fee and must have international insurance coverage (purchased for a nominal cost through Study Abroad). All the rest is covered:

  • Airfare up to 1100 euros, purchased through UCM
  • Housing and food allowance (800 euros/month)
  • UCM fees

  2. You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 at the time of application.

NOTE: You do not need to be a declared Spanish major.

To apply, submit the following:
