About Professor Cadena-Pardo
Paola's research has focused on autobiographical texts such us diaries, letters and interviews; some of them published, and some others contained in different archival sources. Her main interest is to study the nature of the creative experience displayed in the autobiographical writing; and the interaction between the narrative and the poetic in the creative process, and the literary work. She recently published the book: Corpus autobiográfico de Julio Cortázar y Alejandra Pizarnik: un acercamiento a la experiencia creadora, published by Alción Editora, in Argentina. She is also a creative writer, author of two poetry collections: Hotel, Colombia, 2008, and Cinema, Venezuela, 2012.
She has taught course in Latin American literature, film and culture, as well as creative writing courses in Spanish.
