  • About Alexandra

Alex Goldych's research focuses on the connections between gender, language, and space in 20th and 21st-century French literature by authors of Algerian descent. Her work seeks to assert that in the (post)colonial context, language can be harnessed as a means of subversion against dominant structures that seek to oppress marginalized groups. At UNC, she is also a student of Arabic and has participated in the Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies.
