About Angela

Angela has always liked English and teaching. She studied the Degree in English Studies because of her interest in the language and for the English and American culture that had been present in literature. After that, she specialised in a Master's Degree in English Language Teaching to teach English in Spain and worked for several months in a high school. She wanted to continue her journey as a teacher, but this time in Spanish, and after several courses and a Master's Degree in it, she found her way, which put her right where she is now: about to start another experience as a Spanish teacher.

If she has to choose what to teach, she would prefer content related to the language itself, such as Spanish, without forgetting about the culture, that will help students understand certain things about how the language works.

She found about UNC thanks to an English professor she had during one of her master’s courses in teaching Spanish to English speakers. The professor saw her potential and told her about the grant offered by the University of Seville. She did not hesitate to apply for it, initially thinking that she would not be chosen because of the large number of students that also apply for it and with only one place available. She passed the first phase, consisting of submitting the CV, and then she reached the final phase with the interviews. Believe it or not, the interviewers loved her passion for teaching and gave her the opportunity to continue her professional education in another country where she could experience different methods of teaching.
