About Pepe

Pepe Delgado is an interdisciplinary professional whose interests spread the gamut from digital humanities to colonial Latin American literature. In the Department of Romance Studies, his work focuses on the intersection of digital humanities and colonial, postcolonial, and decolonial contexts. His research interests also encompass the discussion of rhizomatic perspectives. His forthcoming manuscript, Latinoamérica rizomática, will explore the deterritorialization and reterritorialization of subaltern and emerging identities in contemporary Latin American narratives.

In the School of Education, he has pioneered Khipu Hub, an innovative platform developed using Extended Reality (XR) technology. This immersive platform engages the public in learning about khipus, the ancient record-keeping artifacts of the Inka empire.

Beyond academia, Pepe is the Founder of Instituto de Educación Internacional del Perú (IEI PERU), an organization that is lowering the barriers for students to access study abroad opportunities. As an educator, he is passionate about sharing the transformative power of international and intercultural education with his students.
