About Tanner

Former Director for International Outreach at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and graduate from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Master’s degree in Hispanic Studies, Tanner Bourne is a current Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His academic focus is in Gender and Queer Studies in both Latin American and Iberian contexts. More specifically, his research interests include liminality, queer identities in marginalized communities, and literary and cultural studies of Spain, Mexico, and Central America.
