Miller graduated from our Franco-Arab M.A. program. Under the direction of Dr. Jessica Tanner, he wrote his M.A. thesis this on Alexandre Dumas’s exploration of orientalist tropes and themes in Le comte de Monte-Cristo. His research interests include colonial and post-colonial literature, orientalism and its critiques, and representations of war in literature and film. After finishing his B.A. in English and Romance Languages at UNC-CH, he taught English in Lorraine, France through the Teaching Assistant Program in France during the 2014-2015 academic year. With his degree he hopes to either pursue a career in education or translation and interpretation.
