About Professor Shade

Alicia Shade loves to teach beginning Spanish and getting students excited about learning such a beautiful language. She is passionate about teaching and she loves getting to know her students, and is currently very interested in second language acquisition among very young learners. Her dissertation, directed by Dr. Juan Carlos González Espitia, was entitled Correspondencias: The Intertwining Letters, Lives, and Literature of Jorge Carrera Andrade and Pablo Neruda.
