About Jossette
Jossette's research is focused on contemporary literature and the environmental humanities within and beyond the francophone world. She is particularly interested in posthumanism, water and islands, ruins, waste, extraction, and petrocultures. Since her arrival she has been an active participant in the Graduate Romance Association and, more recently, has been serving as the graduate student liaison for the department's Accessibility Resources Interest Group. In 2018 and 2019 Jossette worked as a co-organizer to bring the Tournées French Film Festival to UNC.
