B.A. in Spanish and Psychology with a minor in Latin American Studies, Lawrence University


Juliana is from Gurnee, Illinois, and was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She earned her B.A. in Spanish Language and Psychology From Lawrence University in 2016. She came to UNC in 2016 to pursue a Ph.D in Hispanic Literature

Juliana is passionate about films and literature about the Spanish, Argentinian, and Chilean dictatorships, collective memory and the psychology behind these historical events. She is also interested in English to Spanish translation, researching about spanglish and code-switching, and second-language acquisition.
