About Professor Huber

Carol Huber is based in Montpellier, France where she has been the Resident Director of the UNC in Montpellier Programs for over 15 years. She teaches one of the program’s core language classes focusing on communication skills for cultural immersion. She enjoys having administrative responsibility for all aspects of the Montpellier study abroad program but teaching remains her passion. She is interested in intercultural communication and facilitating immersion experiences for her students. She recently co-sponsored the successful application for a Trans-Atlantic Mobility Grant, designed to strengthen the ties between French and American partner universities. The grant facilitated the development of a Summer Session study abroad program focused on sustainability initiatives in the South of France.

She currently serves on the board of the Association of American University Programs in France (APUAF) and is a member of the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE), European chapter.
