Her dissertation, entitled Politique, poétique, philosophique: le récit de voyage de Simone de Beauvoir aux États-Unis, shows how travel writing is central to Beauvoir's thought as a creative space in which she engages with identity and otherness, philosophy, particularly phenomenology, and politics.

Other interests include film, philosophy and environmental studies.
