ROMS faculty win a 2021-22 CFE/Lenovo Instructional Innovation Grant

Profs. Lucia Binotti, Amy Chambless, Josepha Lindquist and Valérie Pruvost have been selected for a CFE/Lenovo Instructional Innovation Grant for the 2021-2022 academic year. The grant will support these professors’ project, “Building VR Worlds to Enhance Global Language and Culture Education.” The project aims to incorporate Virtual Reality experiences into the curriculum of our elementary language classes in French, Italian, and Spanish to offer students the opportunity to interact and practice their language skills in simulated real-world scenarios such as a city street or plaza. In addition to providing new learning environments to undergraduate students, the grant will allow ROMS Graduate Teaching Fellows to gain experience teaching with VR technology.
