About Pascale

Pascale graduated cum laude from Winthrop University in May 2020, with a BA in Modern Languages, and a minor in visual arts. In May 2023, they received their MA from Appalachian State University in Romance Languages for College Teaching.

Born in Québec, Canada, Pascale is a native French speaker. At 15 years old, they studied abroad in Murcia, Spain, for one year. Fluent in both French and Spanish (and English!) their research interests intersect with many academic disciplines. Their research focuses primarily on decolonization and post-colonial studies in North Africa and other Francophone countries, with a particular interest in liberation movements.

While Pascale does not have any publications to their name for the time being, they do hope to publish several articles in the near future. They have also had the opportunity to be a co-presenter at the FLANC (Foreign Language Association of North Carolina) conference in October 2021.
